He was an old settler and a soldier in the Black Hawk war. he took up his abode in Grant County, where he has since resided. She also has had to part with her mother, she being called to that home on high. Benjamin Wm. Mr. Goodridge was connected for many years with business interests in this city and was a communicant of the Church of the Heavenly Rest until his removal to Wisconsin. . He arrived safely and began to "fill up his keg" freely, in consequence of which he lost his way in recrossing the river, and, nearly opposite the residence of Governor Dewey, at Cassville he and the horses entered an air hole in the ice, went down, and were seen no more.
